Big Prop for a Christen Eagle…

I was trying to find a place to store the static prop, and ended up “storing” it on the Christen Eagle. This is the engine that will power the P-47, so it gets it out of the way a bit. Looks a bit big for the Eagle though…

Prop Hub.

 

Although I will use this as a base, this prop hub they provide is far from scale. I’m going to consider this a starting point to mount the props to. Compare this to the full-scale hub.

Lots of work to do here. 

Construction begins.

Deciding where to start, I went a different route than most. I decided to start with the bombs and the static prop. I figured I could start with “replaceable” items just in case I screwed them up. By the time I have them finished, I should have my building skills back online.

Here’s a shot of the static props which have been primed, sanded and filled. One more coat of primer, a good sanding, and they’re ready to paint.
